Mike plays a kit consisting of 6-ply 6mm beech shells with a walnut outer layer in a natural finish and black nickel hardware in the following sizes:

He also uses a snare made from a 20mm thick Monoply beech shell with a walnut outer layer in the size 14“ x 6”.

Setup

In 2001, the likeable Franconian graduated from the Drummer's Collective New York, THE top address for studying percussion instruments.
